If you have high blood pressure, you’ve probably been told to cut the sodium (salt) out of your diet. Are we right? We’re right. But you’ve probably never been told to watch out for another white crystal…sugar.
Now, you’ll find we go over the evils of added sugar a lot on this blog, but for now, let’s look at findings from the BMJ journal, Open Heart. Research found individuals who consume 25% or more calories from added sugar have an almost threefold increased risk of death due to cardiovascular disease.
