According to the American Heart Association (AHA), drinking a cup of beetroot juice daily could lower blood pressure as effectively as some prescription medications.
Beetroot juice contains dietary nitrate, states the AHA, which may help relax blood vessel walls and improve blood flow. Woohoo!
